1. The Aniboom Awards 4 Sesame Street (the "Awards") shall be administered by Aniboom Ltd. ("Aniboom" or the "Administrator"). The sponsor of the Awards is Sesame Workshop ("Sponsor"). NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
2. The Awards shall be regulated and governed by the rules and regulations set forth below and as contained in the Aniboom Awards 4 Sesame Street Awards Submission Agreement available at here: Submission Agreement (collectively the "Regulations").
3. The Awards' objective is to promote and advance the creation of original, creative, unique, entertaining and educational animation content for children by means of submissions to the Awards ("Content"), provided that any such Content is in accordance with the Regulations.
4. Content will be submitted to the Awards, and displayed on the Awards' website ( - the "Website").
5. Visitors to the Awards' Website will vote on their favorite animation, and prizes for the winning Content will be awarded as further detailed in the Regulations.

6. Information for Contestants

Any individual, and all members of any group of individuals submitting Content, ("Contestant(s)") must be at least eighteen years of age and have reached the age of majority in the jurisdiction within which they reside at time of entry submission. Contestants must have Internet access as of the time of submission of the Content. Producers who are currently engaged in contractual relationships or development deals that would preclude them from participating in any part of the Awards are not eligible to participate. Contestants must be eligible to sign a development agreement with Sponsor or Aniboom, which is a mandatory condition to be eligible for Finalist, and Grand Prize awards. Each Contestant must be the rightful owner (or have authorized use) of the e-mail address identified in the Contestant's entry. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner, the winner will be deemed to be the natural person in whose name the e-mail account associated with the provided e-mail address was opened. Employees, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, and representatives of Aniboom and Sponsor and all judges, and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, divisions, subsidiaries, agents, representatives and promotion and advertising agencies (collectively, "Awards Entities"), together with the immediate family members and those living in the same household of such persons, are not eligible to participate in the Awards. This Awards is void where prohibited.

Qualifications for Entries to the Awards
Any Content submitted to the Awards must meet the following qualifications:
  • The Content, except for the Sponsor Materials where applicable, should be the original work of the creating Contestant and should not include any third party content, or content used in violation of any copyright or any other intellectual property right. Prior to submission or during the Awards Term (as defined in Section 8) Contestant may not commercially exploit the Content in any way, including without limitation any sale, license, or distribution.
  • Content should initially be created in HD and submitted to Aniboom in compressed format, Finalists and Grand Finalists will submit in HD via FTP site in accordance with Awards Sponsor guidelines: NTSC HD 1080i, 59.94 / 29.97 DROPFRAME, Audio sample frequency 48K; 24 bit.
  • Content should be less than five minutes in length (although less than 2 minutes in length is preferable for airing).
    As detailed below, winners will be chosen in five categories:
  • 1.School Readiness Skills (i.e., letters, numbers and shapes)
  • 2.Pro-Social Skills
  • 3.Sky's The Limit (aka miscellaneous)
  • 4.Classic Remake - Pinball Number Count (entries in this category must create an animation of the classic Pinball Numbers Count song available on
  • 5.Community Favorite (chosen using the ranking system described in Section 8.2 below)
    Content must contain only animated content. The Content's features should be unique and novel.
    The Content MUST NOT:
  • Contain material which is (or promoting activities which are) not suitable for children, sexually explicit, obscene, pornographic, violent, self-mutilating (e.g., relating to murder, the sales of weapons, cruelty, abuse, etc.), discriminatory (based on race, sex, religion, natural origin, physical disability, sexual orientation or age), illegal (e.g. underage drinking, substance abuse, computer hacking, etc.), offensive, threatening, profane, or harassing;
  • Except for the Sponsor Materials, include mention or performance of any copyrighted media production including but not limited to music, films, books, television programming, etc., or identifying descriptions of any media property.
  • Have been previously submitted to another contest, broadcast on a competing media network or submitted to any entertainment entity that would conflict with this Awards, as determined in Aniboom's and the Sponsor's sole discretion.
  • Include 3rd party trademarks, logos, insignia, location signage, photographs, artwork, or sculptures;
  • Contain any derogatory references to Aniboom or Sponsor; or
  • Include 3rd parties, including but not limited to minors, celebrities and friends who have not expressly authorized entrants to display their image, likeness or voice in any submitted video or otherwise use such image, likeness or voice in accordance with these Regulations.
    Except for any music contained in the Sponsor Materials, any music featured in the Content must be fully licensed for use as set forth herein (i.e. on a buyout basis), or be originally written, performed and produced by Contestant only, and in either case must be available to publicize and broadcast on a license-free, no compensation basis.

  • Aniboom and Sponsor reserve the right to disqualify, in their sole and absolute discretion any Content deemed inappropriate or that does not comply with the Website's Terms of Use. Content may not contain any derogatory references to any program sponsors or any Awards Entities. All tangible contest materials submitted become the property of Aniboom and may not be acknowledged or returned. Aniboom reserves the right to allow for minor fluctuations between the Contestant's timing device and the actual runtime of the Content on the Website, based on clear intent to comply with the Regulations, as determined in the Aniboom's sole discretion. The Contestant should be able to provide on request all appropriate clearances, contracts, permissions and releases for the Content, including releases from the submitting Contestant appearing in the Content and releases from all Contestant group members, as applicable, and/or creative consultants or others who assisted in the creation of the Content (in the event the Contestant cannot provide all required releases, Aniboom reserves the right, in Aniboom's sole discretion, to disqualify the applicable Content, or seek to secure the releases and clearances for Aniboom's or Sponsor's benefit, or allow the applicable Content to remain in the Awards). Votes/rankings generated by a script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Incomplete or unintelligible entries will be disqualified. Aniboom reserves the right to determine in their sole discretion which entries have satisfied the entry requirements. Entrants may enter more than once, as long as all entries comply with the Awards criteria, but are only eligible to win one prize. ELIGIBLE ENTRANTS MUST SUBMIT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE OFFICIAL RULES. NO OTHER METHOD OF SUBMISSION WILL BE ACCEPTED.

    7. Entry Procedures
    Content should be submitted to the Awards during the Submission Period (see Section 8 below) by uploading the Content according to the instructions on the Website at
    All Contestants must agree to the Submission Agreement by clicking on the "I ACCEPT" button which constitutes your acceptance and execution of the Submission Agreement. Execution of the Submission Agreement is a mandatory pre-condition to each Contestant's participation in the Awards.
    No other method of submission will be accepted.

    8. The Awards

    8.1 Administrator's Discretion
    8.1.1 Aniboom reserves the right to cancel the Awards at its sole discretion at any given time, without notice, obligation or liability, including without limitation, the award of any prizes or prize money.

    8.1.2 Aniboom reserves the right to remove any Content submitted to the Awards at its sole discretion at any time during the Awards, without notice, obligation or liability, including without limitation, the award of any prizes or prize money.

    8.2 Rating and Voting Mechanism
    8.2.1 Rating and voting during the Rating Period (as defined below) will be in accordance with the rating mechanism to be provided and administered by Aniboom in its sole discretion. Aniboom and its Sponsors shall solely and exclusively operate the rating and voting on the Website.
    8.2.2 Four Finalist(s) will be selected by an editorial committee from Aniboom and Sponsor, one for each of the categories set forth in Section 6 above, and one Finalist will be selected based on audience ranking. Content will be judged on the basis of its humor, creativity, originality, and whether it conveys the essence of Sesame Street. Audience ranking is calculated using a formula which takes into account the audience's engagement with each entry. The data includes the number of times each entry is rated, the average ratings given, the number of times each entry is shared, the total number of comments and views that each entry receives, and the length of each view. The Grand Prize will be selected by celebrity judges, and they will assess each Finalist's Submission on the basis of its entertainment value for children.

    8.3 Awards Phases and Term
    8.3.1 The Submission Period: Content may be submitted from March 1, 2010 until April 26, 2010 (the "Submission Period"). All Content must be received by April 26, 2010, 11:59PM US Eastern Time.
    8.3.2 Awards Website. Submissions will be shown on the Awards Website commencing on March 15, 2010 (when community ranking begins). Community ranking ends May 9, 2010.
    8.3.3 Finalists Finalists will be announced on May 10, 2010.
    8.3.3 Grand Prize The Grand Prize Winner will be announced on May 17, 2010.
    The term of the Awards shall commence upon the Submission Period and end sixty (60) days after the awarding of the Grand Prize (the "Awards Term").

    9. Prizes
    Aniboom shall award prizes as follows:
    9.1 Each of the five Finalists will be awarded a prize of Five Thousand Dollars (US$5,000). In addition, Awards Sponsor may elect in its sole discretion to provide one or more of the Finalists with (US$5,000) as a development and acquisition deal (funds will be used if necessary to enhance their Content based on the direction and feedback of Awards Sponsor).
    9.2 The Grand Prize Winner will be awarded an additional prize of Five Thousand Dollars (US$5,000), plus the Five Thousand Dollar (US$5,000) development and acquisition deal with Awards Sponsor to enhance and make broadcast worthy the Content based on the direction and feedback from Awards Sponsor. The Grand Prize Winner will have their enhanced content featured in an episode of Sesame Street, broadcast in the USA.
    At Award's Sponsor sole discretion, based on the suitability of their Content for further development, Finalists will be eligible for development deals with a total value of fifteen thousand dollars (US$15,000).
    9.3 Prize money will be paid to the winning Contestants via check or wire transfer according to information provided by Contestant upon submission as set forth in the Submission Agreement. Other prizes will be issued according to the mailing addresses provided by the Contestants upon the receipt of all Agreements specified in these Regulations.
    9.4 All prizes will be sent to the winners only after the official conclusion of the entire Awards.
    9.5 Aniboom reserves the right to change and/or amend the schedule of the Awards Phases according to its sole discretion.
    9.6 Aniboom reserves the right to remove Content, choose not to publish Content or change the prizes, dates and number of winners, at its sole discretion at any time and with or without notice.
    9.7 In the event sums payable under the Awards become subject to income or profits taxes under the tax laws of any country, Aniboom may, if and to the extent required by law, withhold from any payment the amount of said income or profits taxes due and required to be withheld of each payment.
    9.8 If it is found that a prize recipient does not hold full rights to the winning Content, or otherwise violates the Regulations or Submission Agreement, prizes may be withheld or reimbursement required for already issued prizes.
    9.9 To be eligible to win prizes, Contestants may be required to execute additional agreements confirming the Regulations of the Awards (including without limitation the Submission Agreement), development and acquisition agreements with Sponsor and/or Aniboom and other requirements as may be established by Aniboom and Sponsor.
    9.10 Prizes are limited to one prize per person and per household.

    10. Forbidden Voting
    10.1 Rating and voting shall take place and prizes to the winning Content shall be awarded according to sections 8 and 9 of the Regulations above.
    10.2 Contestants are strictly forbidden to rate their own Content, or make any other manipulations to the voting process that employ non-legitimate means of increasing the rank of an entry. These means may include such things as hacking into the voting mechanism or the use of automated robots. All rating must be done by actual individuals voting for the Content according to a one- person-one vote system. If Aniboom considers that any of the Contestants or anyone on his/her behalf has used illegitimate means to affect the rating and voting process, it shall be entitled, upon its sole discretion, to immediately remove this Contestant's Content from the Awards.

    11. Information for Visitors
    11.1 Visitors are invited to view and enjoy all Content as well as rate and vote for their favorite Content, according to the terms, phases and rules set out hereinabove, using the rating and voting mechanism provided by Aniboom on the Website.
    11.2 All visitors to the Website shall be able to rate the Content and vote for them each one time, in accordance with section 8 above.
    11.3 Visitors are strictly forbidden to make or assist in any manipulations to the voting process such as hacking, or double voting.

    12. Rights in the Content
    Aniboom and Sponsor shall have rights in the Content as set out in the Submission Agreement.

    13. Privacy
    Any personal information supplied by you to Aniboom will be subject to Aniboom's privacy policy posted at aniboom/TermsAndprivacy/. By entering the Awards, you grant Aniboom permission to share your email address and any other personally identifiable information with the Sponsor solely for the purpose of judging and prize fulfillment. Aniboom will not sell, rent, transfer or otherwise disclose your personal data to any third party other than the Sponsor and contractors used to provide this Awards and the Website.

    14. Miscellaneous
    14.1 Aniboom may add to, remove or modify these Regulations at any time in its sole discretion and without notice.
    14.2 These Regulations are a part of the Submission Agreement and are governed by its terms.
    14.3 For a list of winners of a copy of these official rules, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to aniboom, Ltd., 795 Folsom St. Suite 250, 94107 within thirty days after Contest winners are announced (VT residents may omit return postage).
