David has triumphed, with his movie Patriotism for Scoundrels, the Chinese animator, a recently debuted talent, has become a major Aniboom force with his cleverly paced animation and artistically nuanced style. David’s unnerving animation takes the words of Emma Goldman, as acted by Sandra Oh, and shows how easy it is to destroy the very ideals from which freedom is based.
