Additional Information - In Rainbows Music Video Contest
A. General Overview
a.
Competition begins March 17, 2008.
b.
You upload your original storyboard which can range from basic sketches to storyboard in video format or a fully developed animated video clip using ONLY songs from RadioHead’s new album inRainbows.
c.
Uploads are not viewable on the site for the first 3 weeks.
d.
When storyboards go public, aniBoom members’ view and rate storyboards for a period of 3 weeks.
e.
10 “semi-finalists” are selected by audience ranking which is calculated using a formula which takes into account the number of votes, their value and total views together with an aniBoom editorial committee approved by TBD Records, the label that launched “InRainbows”.
f.
Each semi-finalist is given $1,000 to create a one minute video clip based on their storyboard. Others can still submit a one minute video clip but are not provided funding.
g.
From those that did not receive funding, the aniBoom editorial committee will select three additional video clips to join the semi-finalists and enter the Finals Round.
h.
For a period of two weeks, the aniBoom community will vote for their favorites and the five (5) highest ranked will be presented to Radiohead.
i.
Four winning videos selected by Radiohead will receive $10,000 provided by aniBoom and Radiohead to create the full music video within a time period to be determined by aniBoom.
j.
The final videos will receive web-wide distribution with marketing support by aniBoom.
B. Competition Rules
a.
Every animated clip or storyboard uploaded to aniBoom and submitted to the Radiohead competition is eligible to win.
b.
Storyboards/video clips deemed too offensive will be rejected from the competition.
c.
Copyright violations will not be tolerated. (Remaking someone else’s character is a copyright violation.)
d.
You can edit your animated clips or storyboards at any time during the competition, or submit additional clips as long as it falls within the relevant stages. You can enter as many storyboards / clips as you like to the competition.
NB:
by deleting and editing your submission on re-upload views start at 0
f.
Submissions containing partial live action may be accepted to the competition as long as the clip is understood to be an animation, which is at the sole discretion of aniBoom. Those considered not animation will be deleted.
C. Competition Stages
a.
March 17, 2008: storyboard / video clip submissions begin.
b.
April 7, 2008: viewing, rating and ranking period.
c.
April 28, 2008: 10 semi-finalists work on one minute long video clips. Submissions continue.
d.
June 9, 2008: Voting to determine the top 5 finalists.
e.
July 1, 2008: 5 Finalists are determined and presented to Radiohead.
f.
August 11, 2008: Radiohead chooses four grand prize winners.
D. Rating
a.
10 Semi-finalists are selected by audience ranking together with an aniBoom editorial committee approved by TBD Records, the label that launched “In Rainbows”.
b.
The 11th, 12th and 13th semi-finalists are selected by the editorial committee.
c.
The 5 finalists are selected by the community ranking system.
d.
Audience ranking is calculated using a formula which takes into account the number of votes, their value and total views.
e.
Four winners are selected from the five finalists, and are chosen by Radiohead.
E. Prizes
a.
10 semi-finalists will each receive $1,000 to create a one minute long video clip.
b.
Four grand prize winners will receive $10,000 to create a full length Radiohead music videos to be completed within a given time period.
F. Submission & Registration
a.

b.
Upload and/or submit your movie to the competition and agree to the Submission Form.
c.
Content is submitted pursuant to a competition, shall not be removed from aniBoom or aniBoom partner channels for a period of 6 months after the termination of such competition.
