How come crickets stop chirping when you walk near them? They chirp and chirp, and then the second you get near the vicinity of their area, they stop. They must own perimeter fences with security alarms hooked to them and when you step over the trip wire, it alerts the cricket to be quiet. I bet the guy who sells those is pretty "well off" if you know what I mean
