This animation is a metaphor of how an individual can inspire a community to stand up to a world in which everyone must conform. Empowered by the words of Marge Piercy, the tree gains strength, multiplies, and expand its roots to overcome the harsh nature of its surroundings.

As soon as I saw the logo for "The People Speak", I decided to create an animation that would match the graphic style of the image. There is a longer introduction of the city, & an ending that continues with the protestor walking to another location. Both were edited to fit the 30 sec requirement.
