A storyboard of a fragment from "Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?" The lives of two old friends have dramatically changed under circumstances of the Great Depression. The idea was to tell a story that connected with the song’s subject conceptually and emotionally without illustrating lyrics.

Once sung by Al Johnson,by Rudy Vallée,by Tom Jones and by Tom Waits. Barbara Streisand and even George Michael,Peter,Paul and Mary brought us their version and so did many others. Yet nobody sang it nearly so good as Bing Crosby. Now Kitsune Kowai has illustrated the Allison Moorer cover.

During the Great Depression many families had to resort to creative means to survive and small moments of generosity could mean having a meal or not. If my work is selected I will show how these moments continue to impact peoples lives and reachout into the world even beyond the Great Depression.
