'The Dreamer' is about ambition and hope of becoming stronger and more powerful. In the end, the dreaming cat smiles at her desire with joy, or perhaps with ridicule, as everything are just as slight as a dream.

I came up with the idea of filmmakers as freaks ostracized by society growing up and finding each other through the calling of filmmaking. Film makers tend to be pretty precious with fragile egos so the idea stuck.
