Completely ridiculous

Jarito is a young boy growing up alone in a deserted junkyard. All he can remember about his past is a strange disc shaped artifact that he carries around with him. His adventure begins when an unexpected visitor "falls" from the sky and may be the link he has been searching for.

my 2nd submission for the competition. did not like the way the first one turned out. so for this one, it was more of just playing with different ideas.

This piece draws inspiration from such films as "Metropolis" and "Modern Times". In further development I"d introduce stop-motion elements, and more fully realize the German Expressionist aesthetic. I"d love to try out a whole series of these, where the text acts as an architectural element.

The film takes place in the kitchen of a middle aged couple’s house. The characters are Lokum the Turkish delight, Uncle Hulusi the coffee grinder, Aunty Sirriye the coffee pot, Cuppy the coffee cup, Birdy the mural clock bird and Makineto the coffee machine.
