This is a journey of a man who has just recently died by ending his own life and his attempt to say goodbye through a videotape, where he plays back his life. The journey takes him to the Pearly Gates where Mephistopheles attempts to obtain his soul for eternity.

Faust (philosopher) becomes frustrated while trying endlessly to mentally penetrate the real essence of life and makes a deal with Mephistopheles to help him attain truth in return for his soul. Faust is then deceived by Mephistopheles (represented by the chair) and loses his soul and mind.
