My name is Rodger Perry, I hail from Herndon, a corporate-minded little suburb in Northern VA. (30min from Wash D.C) I have a BFA in Kinetic Imaging from VCU (film, Video, Animation design) yet I do not have a field job because I am most skilled in old school hand-drawn x-sheet frame by frame animation (with some computer compositing). Basically my job is almost extinct in the U.S. or has been outsourced plus I'm on the wrong darn coast. I work by day as an Audio Visual Technician at a community college and Animate in my spare time...alone...sigh. My goal is to travel to some place like Qatar and kindle a new renaissance of hand-drawn animation...or more realistically start a small studio in my beloved Richmond, a place where hand-drawn animators can work side by side with computers and make cartoons that are actually...well...decent again. That as an x-sheet guerrilla force, we will take back educational animation from the hands of the capitalists and make materials that promote the ascent of humanity once again. The revolution will not be made in Flash, it will be hand drawn baby and on the East side! (catch my angle)
