Large Lad has a posse in
"Vast Food Nation", an animated series about a world where food mascots are celebrities. These familiar marketing personalities get caught up in all sorts of drama in this bizarre parody of Hollywood A-listers as told through a tabloid-style entertainment show. Mindy, “celebrislut”, Lil’ Deborah, “Snack Cake Goody Goody” and Monsieur Peanut (in the closet) are just a few of the fame whoring spotlight grabbers posing for the paparazzi in this exciting new series.
"Vast Food Nation" is the creation of animator Adam Pava, who has an impressive background in comedy writing, specifically for animation. Adam co-wrote the Cartoon Network movie "Re-Animated", a live-action/animated hybrid, which was the highest-rated movie or special in the network’s history.

Pava has written fully-animated fare for adults (MTV’s "Clone High", Adult Swim’s "Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law") as well as children ("Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends", "Johnny Bravo", various Muppet projects) and co-wrote and directed 10 webisodes of "Weighty Decisions", currently available on Will Ferrell’s website, FunnyOrDie.com.
So, how did this new animated series come about? Adam Pava tells the tale:

Pretty randomly! During the Writers Guild strike last year, I had a lot of free time on my hands, obviously. So I kept coming up with ideas that I'd like to someday try to write as a sketch, or a show, or just use as a joke somewhere. One of those many ideas was “Vast Food Nation”, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized how full of possibilities it was. So I wrote a simple one-page treatment. A few months later, after the strike, my manager sent aniBoom the idea, he was contacted by them, and the next thing I knew I was writing and directing a six episode web series!
