Known for his laid back demeanor, Man B. only flipped out once this year when he entered into a heated argument over whether Slymin's sheep deserved to be a fourth judge. While growing up in the Springfield 'hood, Man struggled with an addiction to PopRocks in the 4th grade, but being the fighter that he is, he overcame it and soon became lead clarinetist in the school band. Years later, he is a giant in the music business and has worked with the best musicians, including among others Meltin Don, LipSync and Pariah Cary. Man enjoys Apple Martinis - shaken, not stirred and daytime soaps.

Hey Man, thanks for coming in!

Thanks, Man. I guess. Ah, so Man, you've been in the music circuit for a long time. You've played with some of the greats...do you feel it's a comedown to judge a pop-music contest?
Yo, no dawg..I think it's wack to look at it that way! I don't front yo, What, you think, I look down my nose at other folks just cause I played a gig or two?...nah, man, I'm helping these folks pick out the next big thing, yo, and that ain't nothing to be ashamed of. You got to relax. Have a beer. Just chill. Life is about having fun. Ya know?

Well, ok..that's a good attitude. Back to the contestants…Have you seen anyone particularly impressive so far?
Yeah, my man Asad really gave it his all – going MIA on the hospital...that's how serious he is about making it. He gets mad props from me, yo. Mad props..mad props...I also think that fine young lady who sang 'Don't like a fur chin' is gonna go really far. She's got skill. You know what? They're all awesome. You just gotta relax and have fun. That's what I'm saying. Just chill.

Right. You've been called the “moderate” in the group of judges. What's your take on that?
Yeah, you know man, I just be trying to keep it real up in here. Yo, Slymin can get a little harsh, you know, he speaks his mind..and I can respect that, yo...and Lola, well, you know..she's real sweet, and very supportive and all that, but I just try to take it all down a notch. Make sure these kids come away with some genuine criticism..something they can work with...a proper perspective, you know what I'm saying?

Uh. Yeah. Absolutely. So who do you look up to as a role model?
Man, I've gotta give it up for my man J.C.. And of course my Moms..She's a special lady, raised me right.
