The design is simple, taking advantage of the Shapeshifter structure. Dynamism is achieved by the use of a scrolling border and jumping frogs. Seth Taylor's BLOCKHEAD BIRTHDAY WISH has "deserves a prize" all over it.  Ramiro Olmos BIRTHDAY SURPRISE! story is short but sweet, conveying extreme emotions within a few frames. The last shot is classic.  Way to go, guys!

If you didn't notice it at the top of page, or simply don't understand what it means...basically, your animation could be sold to cell phone companies and at some point someone could be sending your movie to their friend to wish them happy birthday. 

Under 8 seconds long and simply designed, PIGGING TELEGRAM and HAMSTER SINGING successfully express happy birthday in a visual way. James Mason's little 3 year old sister is adorable singing an Oink Oink Happy Birthday, and Esteban Gonzalez's Hamster, though creepy to some, is actually quite endearing. Way to go, guys!

There is a Birthday Pick every day except Friday and Saturday. That means that even if you're not picked today, you might get picked tomorrow. So if you're not picked today, stop, take a deep breath and then WAIT.  Of course there is always the chance that your short needs to be improved. Luckily, we have a lot of great people on here willing to help, so pay attention to the constructive comments and see what you can do. Ok. Rant over.

More animating! More prizes! We had such amazing entries in our last competition, it was a shame we couldn't give a Wacom to every one of our finalists. You Shapeshifter people are crazy...in a good way - which is why we have complete faith in you that you'll come up with something equally cool for our one year birthday.
