How to Promote Your Video

The Community Prize is based upon 3 factors: Virality, Votes & Views.
Essentially this boils down to how popular your animation is.

These are the factors that are taken into consideration:

1.Views: not only do we see how many times people have watched the video but how much
of it they watched. If viewers watch the whole thing instead of clicking away mid-movie, it gets a higher ranking.

2.Rating: this refers to the bombs located beneath the player screen. Community members
rate the movies using 1-5 bombs to designate how much they liked it. We calculate an overall
rating for each movie.

3.Sharing: How many times the movie player for an animation is embedded on other sites
as well as emailed using the aniboom.com system.

You can help yourself succeed in this competition by using these methods:


A.Stumble Upon for registered SU users - (if you do not have a stumble upon account go to www.stumbleupon.com sign up and download the toolbar)

1.	Go to your movie’s page.	2.	Click on the Stumble Upon logo under the movie, OR the "thumbs up" icon in the SU toolbar.	3.	A new window will open. Write a short description and submit your movie to Stumble Upon.

B. Send to a Friend

1.	Go to your movie’s page. click on the "email" link in the widget box under the movie.	2.	A box will open and ask for your email and password. It will import your contacts.	3.	You can choose contacts from your email contact list, and send them a link to your movie.

C. Post to facebook

1.	Go to your movie’s page. click on the "facebook" icon in the widget box.	2.	A new window will appear and ask to add “My Stuff” to you facebook. Allow this application.	3.	Your movie is now on your facebook profile.

D. How to get even more views and ratings through facebook

1.	Open an “Event” or “Group”.	2.	Fill in the details and add the link.	3.	Get all your friends and their friends to join your cause and vote for you!.

E. Post to MySpace

1.	Go to your movie’s page. click on the “MySpace” icon in the widget box.	2.	A new window will appear, and ask you to add a title and description.	3.	Your movie is now on your MySpace profile.

F. Post to Blog


1.	Go to your movie’s page. Copy the html tag that appears in the “embed” box.	2.	Make a new post in your blog, and while in HTML mode, paste the embed code.	3.	Your movie is now on your blog.

G. Add to favorites

1.	You can ask fellow site members to help you spread your movie around.	2.	Ask a friend to add your movie to his favorites by clicking on the “favorite” icon.	3.	Your movie is now in your friend’s favorites.
