Aniboom is the first virtual animation studio in the world, bridging the gap between the global community of independent animators and the professional animation industry in all its forms: cinema, television, web, mobile, music videos, digital gaming, and advertising.

Today the Aniboom community includes over 7,000 animators from 72 countries around the world. These independent animators have the same talent, the same passion and the same skill sets as those working in Hollywood. Aniboom uses the Internet to enable content creation and distribution in a variety of innovative ways:

Library

The Aniboom video library currently has over 12,000 independent animations – the largest library of its kind worldwide. We distribute this content via branded channels located on top Web platforms. Our successful branded channels (such as Aniboom on YouTube) multiply viewership exponentially resulting in tens of thousands of views within hours of upload. Mobile channels such as on the O2 network allows for millions of viewers world-wide. See all our partner channels.

Competition Platform

Independent animators from around the globe create and submit original content to Aniboom via competitive online events. These events offer our creators a variety previously inaccessible career furthering opportunities, enabling them to fast track their way into the animation industry. The line-up of world-class opportunities has included so far: Creation of music videos for Radiohead (The In Rainbows Music Video Competition) and the yearly Aniboom Awards judged by top industry pros and granting over $150,000 in prizes and development deals.

Collaboration Platform

This unique platform enables diverse animators to create a single animation together (short or feature) regardless of their physical location. One example is the Mass Animation project, developed by Aniboom, and hosted on Facebook in partnership with Intel, Facebook, ReelFX and animation software giant Autodesk.

Creating Original Content

From over 12,000 animations in Aniboom’s library, the most popular are identified and brought in for series development. During the last year we’ve developed 20 series with animators from such diverse locations as Mexico, France, the US and Australia. Each series consists of 2-5 minute “webisodes” or shorts for mobile. HISTORY(TM) and Aniboom Collaborate To Create Short Form Animations For Highly Anticipated The People Speak Film Airing Later This Year

NEW YORK, July 2 /PRNewswire/ -- HISTORY(TM) and Aniboom, the world's first virtual animation studio, announced today a collaboration that will enable talented animators to create unique interpretations of 10 readings and musical performances by A-list talent and compete for $35,000 in cash prizes and the opportunity to have their animation shown on HISTORY. The audio recordings to be animated are featured in the highly anticipated The People Speak film airing later this year on HISTORY. The talent featured in the film includes Matt Damon, Marisa Tomei, Bruce Springsteen, Eddie Vedder, Viggo Mortensen and many others who have come together to celebrate democracy and give voice to the lives and experiences of ordinary Americans who have changed the course of history. Animators around the world will have the opportunity to submit their animations based on the 10 historic recordings beginning July 15th at www.Aniboom.com/history.

The People Speak animation competition will be conducted in two stages. The first stage calls for the Aniboom community to submit their entries based on the 10 celebrity recordings from the film, The People Speak. The second stage will grant five finalists $5,000 to further develop their original creation and may have the opportunity to have their work aired on HISTORY as a 30 second spot. The Grand Prize winner will receive additional on-air promotion, an additional cash prize of $10,000 and a development deal with HISTORY.

The People Speak will feature dramatic performances chronicling the history of this country, including charter documents, letters, diaries and more, from additional celebrities such as Kerry Washington, David Strathairn, Don Cheadle, Jasmine Guy, Q'orianka Kilcher, Michael Ealy and musical performances from Bruce Springsteen, Eddie Vedder, Allison Moorer and John Legend. It is from these performances that Aniboom's creator community will be deriving their inspiration and transforming the human form of the presentation into an animated version of the same story.
