At aniBoom.com, a vibrant community of world class animators and animation enthusiasts create, share, watch and rate an increasingly growing library of original independent cartoons and animations that crosses multiple genres and interests. To decrease potential risks for media distributors, this unique community - along with aniBoom’s network of web and mobile distribution partners – serves as a testing ground by supplying rankings, comments and viewership metrics which enable aniBoom to offer content with extreme validation and high audience approval ratings. With investors such as Draper Fisher Jurvetson, DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures, and Evergreen Venture Partners, experienced entertainment and new media executives, and a global community of professional animators, aniBoom’s unique virtual studio model sets a new standard on how animated content is created, validated and commercialized. aniBoom is based in Israel with its U.S. headquarters in San Francisco.

Competition Platform

Aniboom, is available to host a variety of animation competitions which further the marketing/advertising aspirations of brands around the world.

Tapping into an online animation community of thousands of professionals, aniBoom is able to not only generate ongoing buzz for a product or brand, but hosted companies walk away with exciting and fresh animation videos created for their purposes.

Each competition is divided up into at least three phases: Submit, View, Vote & Promote and Finals. Creators submit their work to the aniBoom site, where the online community watch and rate their work. Rankings are also based on how viral a video is; taking into account how often the video was embedded and shared. Participants and viewers can follow the rankings in real time on aniboom.com.

The first annual Aniboom Awards in 2006 set the stage for later contests, receiving over 1700 submissions. The Aniboom Awards have since resulted in over one hundred and fifty thousand dollars being given in cash and prizes to over 70 winners. Another example of a successful past competition includes the “In Rainbows Animated Music Video Contest” in which entrants submitted animated video clips using music from the band Radiohead’s latest album. Radiohead was so pleased with the quality of the submissions; they chose four winners instead of one, to take home ten thousand dollars each in prize money.

Board of Directors

Uri Shinar, Founder and President.

Mr. Shinar served as CEO and President of Keshet Broadcasting (Israel) for 10 years until 2005. During that period he also helped create the original comedy channel for cable as well as media companies such as Keshet Interactive and Keshet Formats. Since 1979, Mr. Shinar has worked as an executive producer in an independent production company that has developed among other projects globally distributed animation.

Yaron Galai, Co-Founder and CEO of Outbrain, Inc.

Mr. Galai was Co-Founder, SVP of Quigo, Inc. (www.quigo.com), a provider of performance-based marketing solutions for advertisers and premium publishers. He previously served as the CEO of the company for three years.

Avraham Pirchi, Co-founder aniBoom.

Mr. Pirchi is the President of United Channels of Israel (UCI), a communications group comprising UCM and several other companies. For the past 20 years Mr. Pirchi has been managing companies that have over 50 million dollars of turnover a year, including companies involved in radio, television, production and Internet.

Shai Saul, General Partner at DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures.

Mr. Saul spent years developing technological ideas into global companies. Prior to founding DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures, he spent five years as Executive Vice President at Aladdin Knowledge Systems (NASDAQ: ALDN). He was CEO and is currently the Chairman of CopperGate Communications, was CEO of Cleantech vendor Ganot, and his current board membership include Allot Communications (NASDAQ: ALLT) and EZchip (NASDAQ: EZCH). His past investments include Wave Systems (NASDAQ: WAVX) and Native Networks (acquired by Alcatel).

Erez Shahar, Managing Partner at Evergreen Venture Partners.

Mr. Shahar focuses on Evergreen's investments in the Software, Internet and New Media sectors. He joined Evergreen from NUR Macroprinters Ltd. (acquired by HP), where he served as CEO and President since 1997. Under his direction, NUR increased its revenues sevenfold by significantly penetrating global markets.

Andreas Stavropoulos, Managing Director at DFJ.

Andreas serves on the boards of a number of private companies. Past investments in companies that have been acquired include: Mobile 365 (Sybase), Centerpost (West Corp.), Everdream (Dell), and Appstream (Symantec). Andreas focuses primarily on software investments (consumer/internet and enterprise infrastructure), mobility, and technology-enabled services.

Advisory Board

John Mass

Executive Vice President and head of Corporate Development and New Ventures for the William Morris Agency, LLC. Mr. Mass oversees strategic planning, acquisitions and investments which include the representation of motion picture and television clients. John Mass is also a member of the company’s board of directors.

Peter Hirschberg

An entrepreneur and marketing innovator who has led emerging media and technology companies at the center of disruptive change for more than 20 years. Mr. Hirschberg oversees Technorati’s sales, marketing and business development activities as well as its partnerships with the media, entertainment and marketing industries.

Mauro Del Rio

Founder and Chairman of Buongiorno, a pioneer of user-generated content and distribution to mobile, works with all major movie studios: Sony Pictures, Disney/BuenaVista, Warner Bros, distributes for all 4 major record labels and pop artists Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Robbie Williams, 50 Cent and Eminem.
