This piece draws inspiration from such films as "Metropolis" and "Modern Times". In further development I"d introduce stop-motion elements, and more fully realize the German Expressionist aesthetic. I"d love to try out a whole series of these, where the text acts as an architectural element.

It is a battle of diminishing proportions! A love-sick pencil must do illustrative battle with a technologically superior graphic pen for the affections of a sexy red stylo! Who will she choose? The lovable pencil with the big heart? Or will the big shiny pen with the killer drawings win the day?
