A stream of abstract forms, moving at different speeds and with different temporal textures, creates a range of possible images for the audience. This is similar to the ambiguous creativity within a Rorschach inkblot test.

The film is a parody of the medium of moving image. Referencing the children's toy, the thaumotrope, it makes the normally hidden optical illusionary quality of moving image into a deliberate part of its style.
