it's my observation that the rat is the vehicle that drives the story. We see he has put the trap next to the box, perhaps the rat has been in the box before? The memory of his war lays there in the back of his mind [the rat moves around quietly but ....the rat avoids the cheese and manages to send the memories rainning down on him. His hand lingers on the photo's, how can he let go, they are his memories? WHERE ARE THE AWARDS? This is brilliant work, I'm so impressed on every level. I've
