This story really draws heavily from its sketchy storybook style, and makes the tale of this brave little girl much more pronounced because of it. I love the rough pencil animations and those dynamic backgrounds. I won't spoil the ending for anyone, but who knew that a few innocent splashes of color could make such a fantastic political statement? Great work, all of you!

The year is 1921 and the village of Ballyvaughan in Western Ireland is engulfed in the Irish War of Independence with the British. When the IRA devises the assassination of two British marines, a 13-year-old girl must save the village from the English retaliation while discovering her own courage.
